Do These 5 Exercises Every Morning

In this video we share with you a simple 5 minute morning session that I use to start my day every morning.

A quick morning exercise session is great to start your day. A simple exercise routine can get your blood circulating to wake you up and set the tone for the rest of the day.

We will be performing 5 mobility, strength, and stretching exercises.

While performing these exercises it is important that we focus on the breathe. Breathe with the diaphram (or stomach).

– Inhale through the nose slow for a count of 5-10 seconds.
– Pause for an additional second
– Exhale through the nose or mouth for a count of 5-10 seconds

Aim to keep a smooth slow breathing pattern throughout the entire session.

  1. This is the best exercise for me. I a.m 71 years old and I prostactomy and last had a stroke. I started This exercise yesterday and it is amazing. It is so good for my well being. I Will do it for the rest of my life as long as I a.m able to do. I feel so good after the first exercise. Thank you so much for This video.

  2. Any movement is great and I’ll no doubt be called out for these comments but in cat/cow instruction to arch back and lower belly can cause pinching in the lower back especially for those with issues far better to initiate the movement from the pelvis rolling the pubic bone back between the legs on the inhale and letting the action move through the body – like a Mexican wave then tilting the pubic bone forward to tuck with exhale again let the movement move through the body. And what the tendency to lift the chin and put pressure on the cervical spine – your neck – pull the chin in to lengthen the back of the neck when folding and turning better to think length of spine than straight as your spine has curves learn to love them

  3. This stuff is straight out of Qi Gong and Yoga. Exercise no. 3 and 5 are from 8 pieces of brocade, a 2000+ year old Qi Gong routine. Baduanjin. Not Kung Fu. Its called Separate the Heavens, and Sway the head shake the tail. Bridge and Cat/Cow are famous in yoga. The low squat is from Tai Qi and Qi Gong. Nothing original here. A more elegant and qi flowing, energizing version of the squat called 'pulsing' can be found in Mattew Cohen's Fire Qi Gong sequence. Cool that this guy is giving credit to some random yoga teacher but the Qi Gong exercises go way back and deserve credit. Millions of people do 8 Pieces of Brocade every morning (myself included). It has more lineage and wakes up all the major muscle groups and more importantly gets the Qi flowing. Way better than a cup of coffee and in all of 4 mins.

  4. What kind of exercise mat is that? Where do I buy one? I have osteoarth in my knees SO bad, any pressure on them is terribly painful, I need more padding to do anything on the ground.
